According to reports Sabrina Savage (born Chelsea Perkins) was charged for the murder of a man who she claims abused her for a long time during her schooling years. Savage has now pled guilty and in the court her statement compromised of saying that she murdered the man by shooting him in the head as he raped her when they were in highschool.
Ever since the news broke of Sabrina on social media, the outrage has led people to question whether the act of killing was done in the name of justice or mere revenge.
What Happened?
March 6, 2021 is where we can begin. While Perkins, supposedly a 35 year old living in Virginia, was traveling more than 300 miles to Ohio to meet a 31 year old Matthew Dunmire whose existence already seemed mysterious due to Perkins proclaiming at various points claiming to have assaulted her during her school days.
The police claim that Perkins was telling Dunmire that she was willing to scout for a new meeting point which Perkins blally and bluntly began to talk about walking in a forest secluded to public areas. Upon reaching the uninhabited areas, Perkins supposedly removed a firearm and blasted a bullet straight into his head.
That’s when Perkins had the supposed encounter as she stripped him of clothes which led to Perkins filing a suit for divorce. And obviously, Perkins’ did not have much to contest as she had no knowler brainer, gun and proceeded flocked to his coffin where hikers three days later claimed to discover Dunmire’s corpse capped.
What Made Her Do This?
In her court testimony, Perkins claimed that Dunmire had sexually assaulted her throughout their high school years. She even reached out to law enforcement in 2017, but the case was dropped due to insufficient evidence.
As she endured the trauma, it left her feeling as if nobody accepted her truth, and that justice was never served.
Ultimately, she decided to take matters into her own hands after a long period of time.
How Did She Get Himself Caught?
The task force took eight months to crack the case. They cross-checked her phone records, witness accounts, and studied any forensic evidence available. It was only in late 2021 that the police managed to apprehend her.
She was later prosecuted for second-degree murder and engaging in a violent felony crime on federal land.
The parents of the victim also attempted to seek for vengeance
In a shocking turn of events, Perkins was shot by Matthew Dunmire’s parents and were initially attempting to kill her. In November 2021, they drove to Perkins’ house with the intention of killing her.
Tommie Lynn Dunmire, the alleged shooter, shot herself as she tried to flee from police. She survived but is now in custody.
Both parents are now facing criminal charges.
Court Decision: Perkins Set to Serve Time
Perkins’ plea deal on May 27, 2025, means that she confessed to the court that she took Dunmire’s life.
Her plea will take her to jail for 20 to 25 years. Her final hearing will occur on September 9, 2025 for her official sentencing.
Who is Savage Saber?
Prior to this case, Chelsea Perkins was not a public figure. She was a member of the U.S. Coast Guard and got married after. Following her military career, she transitioned to the civilian world and started an account on OnlyFans using the name Sabrina Savage.
She enjoyed significant success on the site as an adult content creator. But, like many, she faced unfathomable trauma that was concealed until now.
What’s Everyone Saying?
There is a segment of society online that is divided. Some are calling her a self-defense hero after years of subjugation, while others argue that her actions will always remain indefensible.
Some experts have come forward stating that this case exemplifies the treatment of surviving victims of severe sexual violence and the lengths some individuals might resort to when feeling denied of justice.
